In this role, I lead the production of two monthly publications that keep members informed on critical health and pension updates. I design and distribute newsletters using the GovDelivery platform, reaching over 1 million recipients, and build corresponding content for the trs.texas.gov website to ensure consistent, accessible communication.
I collaborate with a small team to curate and deliver a daily newsletter to internal stakeholders, featuring timely updates on pensions, investments, health care, and relevant legislative developments. Each edition also highlights items of interest for Texas educators, ensuring we’re keeping up with trending topics that impact our members.
I also provide ongoing support for Board of Regents meetings, including designing webcast slide decks and assisting with live broadcast operations to ensure smooth delivery of key organizational updates.
As producer of the widely viewed TRS Talks video series, I spotlight inspiring stories from active school district employees and retirees across Texas. I coordinate all travel and interview logistics and serve as grip and second camera operator, working closely with the lead videographer to capture compelling footage on location.
In addition, I manage the organization’s YouTube channel and assist with running paid advertising campaigns on the platform via Google Ads. I track the performance and adjust as necessary.
Beyond long-form content, I create engaging vertical video for social media, contribute to social media management, and support internal communications through employee headshots and other creative tasks as needed.
