Showcasing 19 Years in Communication & Marketing

Journalist, Editor & Data Visualization Lead

My passion for investigative and print journalism led me to serve as editor of Community Impact Newspaper in New Braunfels, Texas, where I helped launch the publication’s new local market from the ground up. Over the first 18 months, I provided editorial leadership that shaped the publication’s voice and direction, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the region.

As the sole reporter, I delivered in-depth coverage for the City of New Braunfels, Comal and Guadalupe counties, New Braunfels ISD and Comal ISD. I broke stories in critical areas including health care, transportation, economic development, and local business. I also planned and produced content for the monthly print edition — reaching over 45,000 households — and maintained a steady stream of digital reporting between issues.

The Community Impact brand is known for its rich, data-driven infographics, and I led the creative direction and planning for all visual storytelling. These graphics, paired with my reporting, helped readers better understand the issues shaping their community.
